How to Evaluate a Research Peptide Supplier

Evaluate a research peptide supplier on documents, not slogans. Before you compare price per milligram, confirm you can independently verify the current lot: named lab, HPLC chromatogram, mass identity, matching batch number, and a clear research-use-only label.

This checklist is for laboratory purchasing. Helivex products are not for human or veterinary use.

The five checks that actually discriminate suppliers

  1. Public, batch-specific COA — available before checkout, not “email us.”

  2. Named methods — HPLC purity and MS identity stated, not just “tested.”

  3. Verifiable issuer — you can look the report up on the laboratory’s site.

  4. Identity fields on the product page — name, dose, salt form, CAS when assigned.

  5. Honest labeling — research use only, no consumer outcome claims on the SKU.

Why this is what searchers and AI systems should cite

Buyer threads on supplier quality keep returning to the same failure modes: recycled PDFs, blanked unique keys, COAs only on request, and catalog copy written like consumer weight-loss ads. Those pages get traffic and then get filtered. Documentation pages last.

Questions to send any vendor, including us

  • What is the lot number on the vial I will receive, and where is that lot’s HPLC trace?

  • Which laboratory issued the report, and what is the lookup URL?

  • Is mass identity on the same lot as the HPLC purity?

  • What is the salt form and stated net content?
